The New Summit approach

The New Summit approach provides a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s condition, in an interdisciplinary team approach, with the development of an individualized treatment program. This approach allows for a more accurate prognosis for the individual, and as a result, more specific, appropriate rehabilitation plan. For worker’s compensation cases, the level of involvement of external case managers in our team process allows for smoother transmission of information to the carrier as well as the ability to address any complex problems associated with the rehabilitation process and barriers to functional improvement and discharge planning.
